SERVICES Roofing / Waterproofing / Envelope Design
Roofing / waterproofing replacement design and specification is RSE’s core business. Typical services on roofing / waterproofing replacement projects include the following: Preparation of bid packages, including assembly of drawings and specifications; development of bidders lists and review of contractor qualifications and relevant experience; administration of the bid process including pre-bid conference, response to clarification requests and evaluation of bids; site monitoring of construction during project; review and approval of payment requests; change order negotiation and project punch list and close out. RSE provides design services on a large variety of roofing and waterproofing projects including cold and hot applied built-up roofing, modified bitumen roofing, single ply roofing, spray polyurethane foam roofing, metal roofing and steep roofing of all types. Past projects include public schools, colleges and universities, theaters, manufacturing facilities, food processing facilities, office buildings, historic structures, military and retail facilities. Water Intrusion Investigation - Roofing / Waterproofing / Walls Investigation of moisture intrusion into buildings which originate in roofs, walls and below grade elements. Non-destructive and destructive testing equipment are used to assist in the investigation of leaks into EIFS, plaster and synthetic stucco wall systems. Leak investigations often involve water testing of roof, wall and window elements. RSE also provides interior moisture investigations to determine the cause of condensation, mold and related deterioration.
Insurance Claim Investigations Investigation of storm damage and water intrusion through roofs, walls and building envelope components for insurance companies, independent adjustors, building owners, attorneys and others. Typical investigations include the determination of the amount of damage and the primary cause(s) of the damage to the exterior elements. RSE also provides investigation of the causes of mold growth due to condensation or moisture intrusion.
Litigation Assistance Clear, concise and unbiased accounting of roofing and building envelope failures supported by our investigative and assessment services. Typical litigation assistance consists of site investigation and verification of construction, review of repair design and costs, and analysis. Litigation support services are backed up by an extensive library of current and past building material information, code manuals and technical references on building construction including roofing, waterproofing, sealants, wall elements, structural elements and concrete.
Roof Evaluation Surveys Evaluation surveys of existing roofing of all types. Surveys are commonly provided for due diligence, roof maintenance and roof management planning. Surveys can be tailored to meeting the particular needs of the client.
Additional Services RSE also provides additional services as follows: Construction site monitoring of roofing and waterproofing; peer review of roofing & waterproofing plans and specifications for architects, engineers and general contractors; development of roof maintenance plans; sealant / glazing renovation and investigation; roof asset management plans; custom tailored presentations on roofing, waterproofing and related issues. |
